P.O.W. FESTIVAL PHOTO WALL
I set out to capture the essence of the unique African diaspora by photographing subjects adorned with rich symbols of cultural pride and history. Each portrait is framed against a backdrop featuring the iconic Afro pick-known as "Duafe" symbolizing femininity, beauty and care in the Adinkra symbols.The subjects embrace heritage, love and joy while adorning themselves with unique personal styles, reflecting on both individuality and shared ancestry. A powerful reminder of the beauty, resilience, and cultural richness we should celebrate daily within our community.
